I find it irritating when people post or say things like ‘You shouldn’t just make someone feel special on Valentine’s day, you should do it everyday’.  It’s really ironic because people only post these things right before a given holiday, such as Father’s day, Thanksgiving, etc. It seems like people fail to understand that these days are meant for recognizing your loved ones and they’re no different from anniversaries. People have a misconception that they believe these special days are meant to be the only days we show gratitude or affection to others. If you shower them gifts frequently, it’ll eventually get old and will lose it’s meaning. However, when done sparingly I find that it holds more significance and meaning.
