Mind Over Matter.

You can tell yourself that you’ll do something a thousand times through and still end up not doing it. ‘I’ll start doing my homework’, ‘I’ll get in shape’, or even ‘I’ll get over that one person’. No. You can tell yourself all you want that you’re going to do something, but the truth you have to realize is nothing will be accomplished until you actually take steps towards that goal. That’s why people are stuck in the same repetitive cycle in their life, they keep telling themselves to change, yet they don’t. You can’t expect your life to magically turn around unless you start putting in effort, it’s your own life after all. You have to take into account that people in general could care less about your life, they’ve got their own problems to worry about. Not everybody is going to be there for you whenever you need help, so taking the initiative to start acting more independent is always a positive thing.

I’m so sick of hearing about people complaining about how bad their life is, or how they’ve been so depressed lately. Maybe it’s time for some critical reflection on your part. Change up your lifestyle if you’re so sick of it. Simply put, the only reason you find your life to be boring is because you’re a boring person. There’s so much more to life than what your perception of things are, there’s so much more going on than the personal troubles that lay before you. Open up your mind and realize how insignificant some of your issues are that you’re struggling over. The sooner you change your perspective and take action for your life, the better it will become. I guarantee it.
